TORONTO – Sklar Wilton & Associates is pleased to announce that they have been named a co-winner of Quirk’s Media’s inaugural Philanthropic Company of the Year award. Presented by the Marketing Research Education Foundation, this award is given to a marketing research company that leads by example in the giving of time and financial resources in relation to the size of their organization. The award will be presented at the Quirk’s Marketing Research and Insight Excellence Awards taking place in New York City on Monday, November 18, 2019.

This award recognizes SW&A’s ongoing mission to help others succeed. For more than fifteen years, they have rallied behind the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada, helping to raise more than $250, 000 for them which goes towards lifesaving blood cancer research around the world.

Further, in 2019, SW&A launched Headway, a Canada-wide movement to help more companies create workplaces that embrace mental health best practices. The program helps decision-makers, culture leaders, and future business leaders create better, more productive workplaces by helping employees with mental health conditions as well as those who care for them – their managers, coworkers, family, and friends.

Headway launched in May at an event which brought together 500 executives and mental health leaders from companies such as Kantar Canada, Microsoft Canada, PepsiCo North America, and Procter & Gamble. The event was supported by SickNotWeak, Mandell Entertainment Group, Riddoch Communications, PHANTA, Molson Coors, Dig Insights, Morneau Shepell, Sobeys Inc., Canopy Growth, The Four Seasons, and WestJet. The event generated more than 260 pledges to support healthy minds at work and 94% of attendees left inspired to tell colleagues about the importance of mental health in the workplace.
